ABOUT

It started with an earworm. Or maybe an eargasm.

Always a fan of talented female artists of the 80s and 90s, one man spent a week obsessed with “Hold On” by Wilson Phillips. And while listening to the song nonstop, there was an epiphany: guys couldn’t pull this off, but it’d be funny to watch them try.

The experiment was called Lady Parts.

With one classically trained musician and one not-so-much, the Lady Parts began playing a local open mic night. They practiced a couple of times. They wrote down some dirty puns. They had a logo made with a uterus inside a pentagram.

People thought it was funny. And crazy enough, people thought it was good. Not Lisa Loeb–songwriting good. And definitely not Cyndi Lauper–singing good. More like Paula Abdul good. Good enough.

It’s hard to describe. You’ll just have to get a glimpse of the Lady Parts for yourself.
